Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s “I Had Some Help” claims the No.1 spot on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, marking Post Malone’s first-ever No.1 at country radio and Morgan Wallen’s 14th.

The addictive summer breakup anthem took just seven weeks to reach No.1, marking the fastest climb to the top since Garth Brooks’ “More Than A Memory,” in September of 2007, according to country radio insider Chris Owen. Before that, Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying” also claimed the No.1 spot in seven weeks.

According to Billboard.com, the average climb to No.1 is 33 chart weeks.

“I Had Some Help” was written by Post Malone and Wallen with Louis Bell, Ryan Vojtesak, Ashley Gorley, Ernest Keith Smith, Chandler Paul Walters, and Hoskins.

Upon its initial release to country radio, the song was added to 167 first-week stations at country radio, marking only the second time in history that a single has debuted with the support of all reporting stations (this follows Garth Brooks’ “Long Neck Bottle” which became the first to do so in 1997). It debuted on the charts at No.15 and became the second-highest debut ever, following Brooks’ “More Than A Memory” in 2007.

On the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, “I Had Some Help” recently logged its fifth consecutive week at the top. It also became the first song to spend its first five weeks at No.1 since “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus spent six weeks atop the chart in early 2023.

“I Had Some Help” is the lead single off Post Malone’s highly anticipated debut country album, F-1 Trillion, which is set to release on August 16.

The genre-bending star gave fans another taste of what’s to come on the project on Friday with the release of “Pour Me A Drink” featuring Blake Shelton.

The song is a quintessential country anthem celebrating the weekend ritual of escaping life’s pressures through drinking and smoking. Instead of worrying about keeping up with others, the duo opts to relax with cold drinks and simply enjoy the moment.

“Somebody pour me a drink, somebody bum me a smoke/ I’m ’bout to get on a buzz, I’m ’bout to get on a roll/ Yeah, I been breakin’ my back just keepin’ up with the Joneses/ Y’all know what I mean, and y’all know how it goes/ When it’s up on a Friday and I’m paid, slide one over my way/ I can’t even think when I can hear one callin’ my name,” they sing on the chorus.

“Pour Me A Drink” was written by Austin Post (Post Malone) with Louis Bell, Charlie Handsome, John Byron, Rocky Block, and Jordan Dozzi.

The artists delivered the live debut of the song during CMA Fest earlier this month. Their performance is set to air during the three-hour ABC concert special, CMA Fest, on Tuesday, June 25.

It also appears that they filmed a music video for the song as Post Malone shared a video from the “set” with Shelton, however, it’s unclear when they will debut the clip.

On July 16, Post Malone will bring his live show to Music City as part of “A Night in Nashville” with Bud Light. The exclusive, one-night-only event will feature Post Malone performing tracks from F-1 Trillion as well as other country classics.

“Bud Light has rocked with me throughout my music career, from cracking a cold one in the recording studio to helping bring my music to passionate fans on stages across the country,” Post Malone shared. “Nashville is going to be a night for the books and I can’t wait to share what I’ve been working on with my fans.”

Fans 21+ can use Bud Light’s Easy Wishes platform and direct message “A Night In Nashville” to the brand’s Instagram or Facebook for information to enter for a chance to win tickets to one of the hottest shows of the summer.
