Post Malone has released an album every year since 2022, spanning Twelve Carat Toothache to Austin, and his latest star-studded country focused project, F-1 Trillion. According to a new interview with Billboard, the genre-bending star will be continuing the trend in 2025 with yet another round of tunes written alongside fellow country music superstars.

“Hopefully…we’ll have some music releasing very, very soon,” he told the outlet.

After closing out his headlining set at Coachella over the weekend, Malone admits that he’s back to work and has already made several trips to Nashville and has started laying down vocals for the forthcoming project.

Anytime he links up with his community of friends and fellow artists in Nashville, including ERNEST, HARDY, Thomas Rhett and many more, the “Pour Me A Drink” singer admits, “we just have fun.”

“We just sit and f—ing talk and make songs. And so I’m pretty excited for the new record already,” he added.

This collaborative work in Music City has led him to rack up around 35 songs already, but of course, not all of them will make the final cut.

“It’s just a matter of which one’s rock, and which one’s sock,” he says.

Those who caught his recent set at the major festival did not get to hear any unreleased music, however Malone noted that his band has already cut a a slew of songs “and they’re f—ing killing it… I sit there and listen to these songs, and I usually hate listening to my music, but listening to the band play, I get so excited.”

Reflecting On Past Projects

While he admits that some of his past projects were “better than others,” each one has represented what he was going through at the time they were written. He claims that Toothache and Austin were both collections that he “had to do” for that very reason, and while they might not have spawned a slew of hits, his follow-up album, F-1 Trillion certainly raised the bar.

This album features includes 18 songs plus an addition nine solo tracks that came with the surprise extended version. Out of the 27 songs, 16 find Malone accompanied by artists such as Dolly Parton, Hank Williams Jr., Tim McGraw, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, and more.

“We just slowed everything down and that’s kind of what I was going through at that point. And [F-1] was just f—ing bitching,” he admitted. “It was so fun to make. And I said in an interview a while ago, ‘When I’m 30 years old, I’m gonna make a country record.’ And I made it at 29, so I wasn’t too far off. But you know, it just happened naturally. I was like, ‘F— it, let’s go to Nashville. Let’s give it a go.’ I think finally bringing the fun back into what I was doing really showed on the record.”

Between all the fun Malone had making the album and the fans had listening to it, he is excited to keep the ball rolling and “attempt to do it again.”

Post Malone’s F-1 Trillion marked the start of a brand-new chapter and made a massive impact in the process. It debuted atop the Top Country Albums chart and produced 18 charted songs including the Hot 100 No. 1 hit “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen. The project has also earned him a nomination for Album of the Year at the upcoming ACM Awards.

While country has played a big role in his recent success, fans can likely expect to hear all the various sounds of his genre-spanning catalog throughout his upcoming performances.

“You put a twist on the instrumentation and the musicianship of it,” he says “We have Lillie [Mae] playing the fiddle and Cheese [Chandler Walters] playing the steel [guitar] and incorporating that into the old songs and then transitioning into the new s—… that’s always been the thing about me, is it’s all just f—ing music.”
