RaeLynn posed for an adorable and realistic set of family photos alongside her husband, Josh Davis, and their two-year-old daughter, Daisy Rae Davis.
Fans got to see a snippet into the female country star’s life through the collection of images she shared to Instagram today (Dec. 1). While the first photo shows a wholesome, happy family, RaeLynn opts to keep things honest as she starts to show the real side to parenting a toddler. Overall, it seems they made some sweet memories together despite Daisy falling asleep on dad’s shoulder mid-photoshoot and getting a bit fussy from time to time.
The trio got all dressed up in their Christmas best to capture this chapter of their life together. RaeLynn and her little girl donned matching red plaid dresses and matching tan cowboy boots decorated with delicate daisy’s while her husband had a slightly less festive ensemble. He wore blue jeans with a gray sweater, allowing the girls in his life to be the pop of color.
Her caption read, “Happy December YALL. These pictures might not look like much to some but as I look through these photos of my family I’m reminded of how redeeming God truly is. I prayed for the life I have today. Thank you Jesus for being so faithful and letting me be loved by these two. Prayer works and this is my proof of that. 🥹❤️🎄✨”
At the end of her post, she credited their photographer Laura Moll and her longtime friend Demi Hofstetter for all her efforts in trying to keep Daisy happy while they snapped some keepsake photos.
Collaborating With George Birge On “Whiskey Go ‘Round”
After welcoming Daisy Rae Davis back in September of 2021, RaeLynn told PEOPLE that she was unsure if she would ever feel ready to return to her music career instead of devoting all her time to being a mom. However, two years later, she is back in action and has already dropped a handful of tunes this year including, her most recent feature on George Birge’s “Whiskey Go ‘Round.”
This tune was penned by Birge with Casey Brown, Jen Smestad and Parker Welling and released to all music streaming platforms on October 13. The pair of artists take turns delivering the first verse before harmonizing their way into the fiery chorus that signifies the kind of relationship that is always hot and cold as the couple can’t seem to let go of the chemistry they have together.
“One more whiskey-go-round / One more never again / Takin’ two hearts on the rocks for a hundred-proof spin / Yeah, just wanna drown / In a kiss that burns like hell every time it goes down / It’s a Tennessee high, kerosene carousel ride / Buckle up, baby, no we can’t stop now / This missin’ you, missin’ me, whiskey-go-round,” they sing together on the chorus.
While searching through names and trying to decide who would be best to bring on the song, Birge admitted to Country Now that landing on RaeLynn was a “no brainer.”
“She hit me back almost immediately and was over the moon about the song,” Birge recalled. “She ended up putting her vocal on it, and I knew it was going to be great. She’s such a talented artist and vocalist, but I don’t think I could have prepared myself for how well our voices blended and just how amazing she sounded on the song. As soon as I got it back, I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is another level,’ and I cannot wait for everyone else to hear it.”
Hitting The Road With Kane Brown
Next year, Raelynn will join Kane Brown on his In The Air Tour in 2024. Kicking off on March 28, the trek will visit U.S. stadiums and arenas through mid-September.
Tyler Hubbard, Jon Pardi, Chris Young, Bailey Zimmerman, Cole Swindell, Parmalee, and LOCASH will also serve as support on select dates of the tour.
