Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani brought their duet “Nobody But You” to life on Sunday evening (April 5) with a PDA-filled performance on the ACM Presents: Our Country special.
“Hey everybody, it’s Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani and we are also in lockdown like the rest of you all. We happen to be in Oklahoma, hiding away from everybody, doing what we are supposed to do.” said Shelton. “And we’re also doing what I think everybody else must be doing, which is drinking all day.”
“Not me,” Stefani added.
“No, just me,” Shelton joked as Stefani hid her beverage.
“Anyway, we planned on being at the ACM Awards tonight and clearly that’s not happening and we wanted to sing this song there but we’re here, let’s do it here. You want to?” Shelton asked Stefani. “Mhmm,” Stefani replied before the couple launched into their duet.
In the clip, which was filmed by Stefani’s brother Todd, the couple’s voices blended together perfectly.
“Stay safe everybody, we love you.” Shelton concluded.
ACM Presents: Our Country aired on Sunday (April 5) at 8:00 p.m. ET on the CBS Television Network and on CBS All Access. The two-hour special also included performances from Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Luke Bryan and many more. The show also showcased clips of artists’ favorite moments the ACM Awards’ 55-year history.
