Apple Valley, California native Chayce Beckham is heading into the American Idol final on Sunday alongside fellow Top 3 contestants Grace Kinstler and Willie Spence. The rising star quickly turned heads and became an instant fan-favorite following his audition with “What Brings Life Also Kills” by  Kolton Moore & The Clever Few. He also found a fan in American Idol judges, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, as each judge voted him through to the next round.

Throughout the competition, Beckham showcased his unique sound with covers of a variety of songs, making each his own with his undeniable vocals. He even offered up two original tunes, “Mamma,” and “23,” proving he has the songwriting chops to go along with his vocals and stage presence.

No matter what happens on the finale, Beckham is sure to have a promising career ahead of him. During a recent interview with Music Mayhem, the 24-year-old revealed that he plans to move to Nashville following the competition. He also shared that he has an entire album “ready to go.”

“Once we get done with [American Idol], and we can get into the studio, then, that’s it, the rest will be history,” Beckham explained. “As far as those songs go. I’m done with those, I finished those sometime last year, that’s the way that it goes out. I was gonna do an EP before the show happened, and then I decided to wait and hang onto all those songs. So I’ve got a good few songs that are ready to go and record them, and put them out as soon as we can.”

The former fork lift operator is set to perform six times during Sunday evening’s American Idol finale, including a duet with country superstar Luke Combs. Fans can tune in to the three-hour event at 8/7c on ABC.
