“It’s really hard to pinpoint. A numbers game in the library of music. The number of songs by males outnumber females (that’s the total library, new music and gold). But manually adding Taylor, Maren Morris, and Kelsea is happening. I did not say we are not ADDING female songs.”

Reba McEntire is headed back to the small screen!

The country legend landed a guest-starring role in the CBS sitcom, Young Sheldon, which is the prequel to the award-winning comedy The Big Bang Theory.

TVLine reports that McEntire will play the role of June, the ex-wife of Craig T. Nelson’s character Dale Ballard. The “fun and fiery” June will become friends with Meemaw (played by Annie Potts), who is in a relationship with the local little league coach.

The Young Sheldon episode featuring the country star will air on CBS in February.

No stranger to sitcoms, McEntire previously starred in the WB comedy, Reba, which ran from 2001-2007. Her Reba co-star, Melissa Peterman, also stars in Young Sheldon, however, TVLine reports that the longtime friends will not “cross paths” during the episode.

The Oklahoma native also starred in Malibu Country on ABC and has appeared on shows such as Last Man Standing, Baby Daddy and The Neighbors.

This Spring, Reba McEntire will return to the road for a 2020 tour, which is set to kick off March 20 in Evansville, Indiana.
