Restless Road’s Zach Beeken, Colton Pack and Garrett Nichols are letting fans in on the intimate details of their love lives by re-creating their first dates with their real-life love interests in the new music video for their song “One Step Ahead.”
The just-released clip was directed by Alex Alvga and showcases their romantic first dates; from a self-made drive-in movie theater to a painting date, to a picture-perfect picnic.
Including their wives and girlfriends was a no-brainer for the trio brought back so many special memories for the group and their ladies.
“I was really nervous for my first date with Taylor because she was out of my league, so I wanted to do something really special,” recalls Nicholas. “I decided to set up a picnic for the two of us and it went amazing!! When we recreated the date for our music video I was blown away by her just like the day we met. I was so happy we got to capture that special moment the way we remember it.”

For Pack, the chance to re-create his date with his wife was “super special” and something he will never forget.
“My wife and I recreated our first date, which was super special! I set up a bed sheet and a projector, then we watched a movie In the back of a truck,” he explains. “I loved that we got to recreate something that is super important to me, because that night turned into almost six years of marriage and two beautiful daughters. Getting to show people what started our love story made this video that much more special.”
“One Step Ahead” is featured on Restless Road’s self-titled debut EP, which was released in February.
Earlier this year, the trio turned heads with the release of their single, “Take Me Home (With Kane Brown)” and an opening slot on Brown’s Worldwide Beautiful Tour. With tour dates scraped due to the pandemic, Restless Road got creative and turned to TikTok to stay in touch with fans. Their hilarious videos can be seen HERE.
