Brayden Howell might be young at just 19 years old, but his voice was proven to be well beyond his years during his Blind Audition on Season 30 of The Voice.

From his look to the impressive baritone vocals he showcased with his rendition of Garth Brooks’ “Friends In Low Places,” Brayden transported listeners right back to that era of old school country. He had the whole room standing and dancing along and even had coach Kelly Clarkson singing along from her coaching chair.

Riley Green was the only coach to turn his chair after hearing just how much potential the North Carolina native has to become the next big country star, meaning he would officially join Team Green. The “Worst Way” singer smiled and nodded along, listening to Brayden finish out the performance and absolutely own the stage with the country classic.

Clarkson was first to point out that he was stepping into some “big old boots” by choosing to tackle a Garth Brooks song. Since her team was already full, she could not turn her chair even if she wanted to, but the iconic songstress made sure to praise Brayden for a job well done.

Queen Latifah did the same, expressing her sadness that she wasn’t able to turn as her team was also full.

“I probably would’ve turned for you right where Riley did because you got down in that low one and I was like, yes. Nailed it, nailed it,” she stated.

The first question Green asked his newest team member was who his musical influences are.

He responded, “The way I dress would be like Elvis. But as far as influences in country music, Randy Travis.”

Green continued, “I can get down with some Randy Travis with you and I got great news my team is not full. You already turned this place into a honky tonk, but let’s get together on something.”

Green later added that after closing his eyes and being transported into a honky tonk setting, he knew that choosing Brayden Howell to be a part of his team was a “no brainer.”

Now that blind auditions have officially come to an end, fans can come back next week to see which artists will battle it out next and who will get eliminated.

The Voice airs Monday & Tuesday at 8/7c on NBC and next day on Peacock.
