Sam Hunt and his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, are expecting their third child!
The country star revealed the exciting news earlier this week while chatting with iHeartCountry. He explained that he has had to shift his fall hunting plans due to Hannah’s pregnancy.
“Well, I did in the heat of the touring season, I started booking a bunch of these hunting trips, this fall, bird hunting trips, and I found out about two months ago that we’ve got a baby on the way. So Hannah started feeling really sick, and so I was gone for three or four days at a time. She’s at home with two kids, sick, so I’m having to rearrange some of my plans, but she’s still going to let me..not let me. I’m still going to get out and do a couple abbreviated versions of them,” Hunt, 39, explained.
With a big smile on his face, the Georgia native admitted that he was “obsessed” with dad life.
“I just feel very blessed to have another one on the way,” he added.
Baby No. 3 will join the couple’s growing family, including their daughter Lucy Louise, 2 ½, and son Lowry Lee, 12 months.
In a separate interview with Audacy’s Katie & Company, Hunt gushed, “It’s about to get real…I’m elated, can’t wait!”
He also shared that Hannah is due in May and revealed that they have started to have conversations about the new baby with their daughter, however, he isn’t sure she fully understands what’s to come.
“We talk about [it]. I say, Mama has a baby on the way and we’ll point to her belly and she says, ‘No, I have a baby on the way,’ ” Hunt recalled with a laugh.
In a few years, the “23” singer plans to take a step back from touring to spend more time at home.
“I’m hopefully — in the next couple years — going to take a break from touring,” he said. “The crowds have been so great and I want to get out there and tour while my kids are really young and they’re able to come with me…and while people are interested in coming to see us because I don’t want to take that for granted.”
Sam Hunt has gradually started sharing more about his personal life with fans. Most recently, he featured his entire family in the music video for his song, “Country House,” giving fans a very personal glimpse into his life beyond the spotlight.
The clip features intimate moments of Sam and Hannah with their two children and also stars his mom, dad, brothers, and nieces and nephews.
