Despite Scotty McCreery’s summer schedule being packed with tour dates, he’s still making sure to get plenty of family time with his wife, Gabi, and their nine-month-old baby boy, Avery.

The country star recently shared a look into their trip to Zion National Park through a slideshow of photos and videos posted to social media. Each of the clips reveal McCreery holding Avery in a carrier strapped to his chest as the family of three hikes around the National Park located in Southern Utah. One video, in particular, captured an adorable moment as Gabi filmed McCreery and their son waving back to her before panning across the beautiful scenery.

“Zion day 1,” McCreery wrote in his caption.

Fellow country star and American Idol alum, Lauren Alaina took to the comment section to share some love on the heartfelt post.

She wrote, “You have got to be kidding me? This picture is perfection. Love y’all ❤️”

Luckily, McCreery’s family is able to join him on the road for most of his adventures, allowing them to experience many milestones and achievements together.

His wife and son recently accompanied the country star to New York City where he performed his latest single, “It Matters To Her,” on Good Morning America. Then, they made their way to a lakeside destination where they celebrated Avery’s very first Fourth of July weekend

Fans got a glimpse into both family occasions as McCreery and Gabi documented highlights along the way.

The “It Matters To Her” singer and his wife welcomed Avery, their first child, into the world on Tuesday, October 24, 11 days before his due date. Since that moment, McCreery says that he’s seen growth in himself with each new learning curve that comes his way.

“I think I grew up as a person, grew into a man and started a family,” McCreery admitted during an interview with The Eagle Tribune. “It’s a long ways away from that 16-year-old who had no clue what he was doing but just knew he liked to sing.”

Life definitely looks a bit different for McCreery now that he has to balance his life on the road with the constant responsibilities of being a dad. Sharing a look into his new routine, he revealed that the minute he wraps up his set and steps off stage, he switches gears to caring for Avery and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

“I got a bottle ready and would put Avery to bed,” McCreery continued. “It’s not the rockstar thing after coming off stage but it’s the best thing ever.”

On top of affecting just his daily routine, having a new addition to love has also become a big influence on McCreery’s music. Throughout his entire career, he’s already been known to write about personal experiences and loved ones, especially his wife, but it appears that Avery may be taking over the role as his main muse.

While co-hosting Country Countdown USA alongside Lon Helton, McCreery confirmed this by teasing that his forthcoming new album will feature songs inspired by his baby boy.

“There will be a baby song on my next album, many more, every song has been inspired by him, every song has been influenced by the last six months of raising him, it’s a good place to be. I feel I have a lot of ideas, and a fresh place to be.”

McCreery’s next full-length project will serve as the follow-up to his latest release, Same Truck: The Deluxe Album, which spawned fan favorites including “You time,” “It Matters To Her,” “Damn Strait,” and more.

As fans away new music, Scotty McCreery will continue to tour throughout the remainder of the year with appearances scheduled at various fairs and festivals.

He recently wrapped up his time on the road with Brooks & Dunn for the REBOOT Tour. And is next slated to perform on July 27 in Tooele, UT.
