Security Company Denounces Guard’s ‘False Claims’ About Morgan Wallen

The company that employs a security guard who claimed Morgan Wallen was “too drunk” to perform at his canceled Mississippi concert on Sunday is speaking out, denouncing the man’s statements. 

On Sunday evening (April 23), Wallen canceled his concert at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Mississippi just minutes before he was scheduled to take the stage, citing that “voice is shot and I am unable to sing.”

Following the abrupt cancelation of the concert, rumors swirled that Wallen was “too drunk” to take the stage and that his reason for canceling the show was not true. 

The rumors began after a video of a security guard working at the venue began circulating on TikTok and other social media platforms. In the clip, the security guard can be seen gossiping with fans, saying that Wallen “couldn’t walk,” was “too drunk” to perform and that a “ambulance took him.”

The guard claimed he was given that information “by head of security” and that “the losing his voice” story is “bull crap.”

Security Company Speaks Out

BEST Crowd Management, a company that provides security services for concerts and other large events in the area, took to social media to address the statements made by an employee of the company.

“A hired employee of BEST Crowd Management made false claims as it related to last night’s Morgan Wallen concert and we do not stand behind the detail in his statement,” the company wrote, before recommending that fans ”refer to Morgan’s social media pages for details.”

Big Loud partner, Seth England, also shared the statement to his Instagram stories thanking the company for speaking out on the false accusation.

“Thank you, @bestcrowdmanagement, for correcting your employee, who made up an entire story that was nowhere close to true. Every detail was false. Laughable what some people will just say for a reaction,” England wrote.

Vocal Rest

Following Sunday’s cancelation in Mississippi, Morgan Wallen postponed three upcoming tour dates of his One Night At A Time World Tour, including his shows in Michigan, Illinois and Nebraska.

“Y’all know how important my fans are to me, so I feel horrible about this news,” Wallen’s statement read. ”There’s nothing more I want to do than be on stage playing for you guys. But as of today, I’m on doctor-ordered vocal rest and we have to reschedule this week’s shows.”

The “Last Night” singer went on to share his gratitude for fans as he continues to heal his vocal cords.

”I appreciate and understand everything you do to get to my shows, so it would be unfair of me to put on a show that I know will not be 100%,” he continued. “I’m doing everything I can to speed up the process of getting to that 100% mark.”

Wallen was scheduled to appear in Grand Rapids, MI at the Van Andel Arena on April 27, Moline, IL at the Vibrant Arena on April 28 and Lincoln, NE on April 29. The statement also revealed that those shows have now been rescheduled for June 27, Sept. 8, and Sept. 9, respectively.

Wallen also assured fans that “all original tickets will be honored for the new dates.” Fans who are no longer able to attend can check with their point of purchase for questions about refunds. 

Wallen’s next scheduled tour date will take place on May 4 in Jacksonville, FL at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
