The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards red carpet looks a lot different this year.
Rather than strutting their stuff in Las Vegas surrounded by fans, members of the media and photographers, the artists appeared on a socially distanced red carpet with minimal staff due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Some artists even sported masks on the red carpet, promoting safe practices during the COVID-19 outbreak.
The 55th Academy of Country Music Awards are set to feature performances from Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Riley Green, Mickey Guyton, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Thomas Rhett featuring Jon Pardi, Blake Shelton with Gwen Stefani, Taylor Swift, Tenille Townes, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban with P!nk, Morgan Wallen and Trisha Yearwood.
For the first time in history, the ACM Awards are taking place in Music City, airing from three iconic venues the Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium and The Bluebird Cafe.
The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year and 15-time ACM Award-winner, Keith Urban, is hosting the star-studded event, which will broadcast on Wednesday, September 16 (live 8:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) on CBS Television Network, and streamed live and on-demand on CBS All Access.
