Team Blake’s Ian Flanigan and Aaron Scott faced off on the final night of The Voice Battles on Monday, singing Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?”

Prior to their performance, the contestants got advice from coach Blake Shelton and Battles Advisor Kane Brown.

“You guys are so talented, it’s actually ridiculous,” Shelton complimented, while Brown drew upon his own career to try to help the artists.

Flanigan and Scott impressed the coaches during their performance, however, only one could proceed in the competition.

John Legend complimented Aaron’s range but shared that Ian was his pick as the winner due to his unique vocals.

That seemed to be the trend with all of the coaches as Stefani said, “With Ian, no one has a voice that sounds like that. It’s just so rare.”

Clarkson told Ian that he was one of her favorite vocalists this season and went on to say, “I was like glued to you. It was like inappropriate.”

It all came down to Shelton, who had to make the final decision between the pair.

“It’s not that often that I get a battle pairing where I feel like every single note that was given during rehearsals came into play here,” the “Happy Anywhere” singer said. “Just want to say thanks and respect to you for putting in the time and the work.”

The decision, however, was clear.

“The winner of this battle is Ian,” he declared, adding, “He’s just got the most unique voice.”

The Voice Knockouts begin on Tuesday (Nov. 17).
