Team Blake’s Jim Ranger is going to The Voice finale!
The news was revealed during the semi-finale results show on Tuesday evening (Dec. 8). Ranger earned the most votes of the two remaining Team Blake contestants, beating out Ian Flanigan.
On Monday, Ranger took the stage to perform Badfinger’s iconic power ballad, “Without You.” His performance earned a standing ovation from all four coaches.
“I got to sing on top of a giant freaking rock, which was spectacular,” Ranger said of Monday’s performance. “[It was] one of the most amazing nights of my life.”
Ranger auditioned for The Voice with a cover of Keith Urban’s “Blue Ain’t Your Color” and went on to perform songs by Tim McGraw and Lee Brice.
Jim Ranger is one of five artists who will advance to next week’s finale.
Ian Flanigan will take the stage to perform later this evening for a chance to secure an instant save to move on to next week’s show.
The Voice returns on Monday, December 14 at 8/7c on NBC.
