They say laughter is the best medicine and that’s certainly the case when it comes to this video of Dan + Shay‘s Shay Mooney and his son Asher.

Mooney took to Instagram on Sunday to share an adorable clip of himself reading to Asher with hopes that it will help brighten his fans’ day. In the video, Mooney can be seen reading Blue Hat, Green Hat by Sandra Boynton to his eldest son.

As his father reads the silly story, Asher can’t help but giggle. His infectious laugh is absolutely heartwarming and will most definitely bring a smile to your face.

“Hope this makes your day like it just did mine ?,” Mooney captioned the video. “Thanks for amazing books @sandra_boynton ❤️ Your books are a staple in the Mooney house.”

Shay Mooney and his wife Hannah welcomed their second son, Ames Alexander, on February 21. Ames made his debut in Music City, weighing 6 lbs., 7 oz. and measuring 19.5 inches long.

Dan + Shay launched their headlining The (Arena) Tour in early March, however, the duo was forced to postpone the Spring leg of the tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Thank you all for your patience and understanding. It is a strange, strange time for all of us, but we felt this was the right thing to do,” the duo shared in a statement.

The tour is scheduled to resume beginning July 30 in Tulsa, Okla.
