After signing a record deal with Verge Records, Trace Adkins has unveiled his brand new single, “Better Off.”
Written by Hillary Lindsey, Corey Crowder and Liz Rose, the sultry mid-tempo track turns up the heat with lyrics like “Those thoughts in your head and/ Those pillows on your bed and/ That dress these lights/ They’re all better off.”
To coincide with the release of the song, Adkins also shared a brand new music video with fans.
“I wanted to do a performance style video where I could use my band, so we started there,” he shared with CMT. “[Director] Mike Stryker suggested using the dancers to add some elegance. The fact that the dancers also happen to be a couple added authenticity to their scenes.”
Produced by Bart Butler, “Better Off” is lead single from Adkins’ forthcoming new album.
Adkins will soon take his new music on the road with The Way I Wanna Go Tour 2020. Fans can visit Trace Adkins’ official website for additional details.
