William Michael Morgan is making a comeback to country music. To kickstart this new chapter of his career, Morgan has announced a newly-inked deal with ONErpm Nashville.
“It is an honor to be teaming up with ONErpm,” Morgan said in a press release, noting that “Tim Wipperman, Ryan Cunningham and the team there really believe in the kind of music we are making.”
Additionally, it was revealed that the singer/songwriter has plans to release new music in the form of an EP later this year.

He went on to explain that his next project, produced by the legendary Keith Stegall, “is something I’ve been working toward my whole career. All the ups and downs, the growth and learning—you can hear it all in this new music, the majority of which I have written as a result of my own life lessons.”
“William Michael Morgan has had an amazing career so far,” added Cunningham, A&R director of Country Music for ONErpm. “We believe in him as an artist, and we’re excited to see how high he can climb with this new music.”
Fans have made it clear that they are also eager to see what’s next for Morgan. Once the announcement of his deal with ONErpm broke on social media, many people took to the comment section to congratulate the country star.

One user wrote, “I loved your first CD, so I’m looking forward to hearing new music from you!”
“Such great news!! We’re ready for some new music! Congrats, Willie! 😀🎶❤️,” said another.
The Vicksburg, MS native first started to gain success in the music industry at just 19 years old when he signed to his previous label, Warner Music Nashville. Under Warner Music, Morgan earned his first No. 1 hit with “I Met A Girl.” This breakout song was co-written by Shane McAnally, Trevor Rosen and Sam Hunt, and has since been certified gold.
Listeners quickly fell in love with the classic country love song that finds Morgan singing of crossing paths with a girl who made him stop in his tracks. His baritone vocals soar over the romantic instrumental while delivering nothing but the utmost flattery.
“I met a girl / She made me smile, she made me wait / She crossed the street, she crossed my heart / She fixed her dress, she bit her lip, she let me up / I met a girl with crazy shoes and baby blues / The way she moves is changing my whole world / I met a girl,” he sings in the chorus.
“I Met A Girl” has paved the way for a top 5 debut of Morgan’s first album, Vinyl, on the Billboard Country Albums chart. This full-length project dropped on September 30, 2016.
Hunt also recorded his own, stripped-down version of the co-write, which was released as a featured track on his 2015 project, Between The Pines (Acoustic Mixtape).
Morgan has continued to build a loyal fanbase by touring the country, performing at the Grand Ole Opry stage more than 70 times, and releasing music that remains true to his roots.
While he was in between labels, the now 29-year-old also dropped a series of singles including “Whiskey Kinda Night,” “Baby Don’t get Hooked On Me,” “Girl Like Mine,” “Please Come To Boston,” his most recent release, “Rhinestone Cowboy,” and more.
This year is expected to be a refreshed breakout year for Morgan. Along with his forthcoming EP, he has a slew of summer tour dates scheduled, including Rock The Coast in Galveston, TX (Apr. 15-20), Large Cars & Guitars in Sevierville, TN (May 5), Comstock Windmill Festival in Comstock, NE (June 8), and CMA Fest in Nashville, TN (June 11).
