Ty Myers released his 17-song sophomore album Heavy On The Soul on March 27, showcasing influences of Southern rock, soul, and blues.

The Texas native explained that the project became especially meaningful once he let go of outside pressure and focused on writing from a personal place.

Heavy On The Soul is a very special project to me for many reasons. Many artists feel a notable amount of pressure when working on their sophomore album,” Myers shared. “The true magic of this project came when I shook those feelings and wrote for me and the feelings that I was experiencing in my life. I can only wish that you can relate to my emotion and apply it to yourselves. I hope y’all enjoy.”

The project follows his debut album, The Select, which produced hits such as “Ends of the Earth” and “Thought It Was Love.” Heavy On The Soul was created alongside producer Brandon Hood, with Myers serving as a writer or co-writer on all 17 tracks, including several he penned entirely on his own.
