Exactly one month ago, on January 13, a rising country star took to TikTok to tease his unreleased song titled “Devil You Know.” The hard-hitting tune was quick to garner the attention of users on the platform who took a liking to the artist’s gritty and poignant vocals. This led to the original video to rack up more than two million views in just two weeks with additional posts across social media garnering 11 million total views.

How Did Tyler Braden Get His Start?

The artist behind the viral sensation is Tyler Braden – a Slapout, AL native who began pursuing his passion for music as a teenager and continued playing local gigs throughout his twenties while simultaneously working as a first responder in Montgomery, Alabama. In 2016, he made the move to Nashville, TN, and maintained his role as a firefighter until landing a record deal with Warner Music Nashville.

Since inking the deal, Braden has unleashed his debut EP, What Do They Know, in November of 2021, competed on NBC’s American Song Contest, and hit the road to perform with major country acts such as Brantley Gilbert, Brooke & Dunn, Luke Bryan, and more.

Who Wrote “Devil You Know?”

Co-penned by Sam Martinez, Graham Barham, Zack Dyer, and Jon Robert Hall, “Devil You Know” is a tune that exudes confidence through its anthemic sound and powerful lyrics. Fan engagement on the track has continued to skyrocket, as TikTok users have used the original audio to create 12,500 videos and counting. Plus, less than a month after sharing a snippet with fans, Braden gained more than 250,000 new followers across social media.

“This is probably the proudest I’ve been to be part of a single, because it’s a song that so many people can get behind wholeheartedly,” Braden shared. “It’s a song about confidence and not backing down. It’s a song about not allowing yourself to be underestimated or taken for granted. It’s a song I’ll be proud to perform live for years to come. Thank you to the writers Jon, Zack, Graham and Sam – double thanks to Sam – for helping bring this song to life in a way that only progresses me as an artist. Thank you to the fans, new and old, for making ‘Devil You Know’ what it is before it even fully saw the light of day!”

“Devil You Know” comes hot on the heels of the Alabama native’s standout track “Friends,” which is currently climbing the charts on SiriusXM The Highway. His current collection of projects including What Do They Know and Neon Grave have spurred more than 260 million global streams.
