Walker Hayes’ red-hot momentum shows no signs of slowing down as his new project, Country Stuff The Album, debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s all-genre Hot 200 chart this week.
The album landed at No.2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and was No.1 for country album sales.
The 13-track project expands on his 2021 Country Stuff EP with seven additional tracks and showcases all sides of Hayes as a songwriter and artist. It explores sobriety, loss, love and country fun, making for a well-rounded project that doesn’t shy away from tough topics.
“I’ve been waiting so long to put out a project like this,” the father of six previously shared. “It has everything I love from the fun of ‘Fancy Like’ to the more personal lyrics in ‘AA.’ As an artist, it’s such a unique thing to be able to share all the different versions of you in a project, and that’s really what I tried to do here.”
On the heels of the album release, Hayes launched his headlining Fancy Like Tour. The trek runs through April 30 and is quite a family affair.

“The tour is now to a size where I can financially handle a bus for my family, and that’s a game-changer,” Hayes told Billboard. “Honestly, before that, I didn’t really know how long I wanted to do this. Before we had ‘Fancy Like,’ it was 50/50 me being a writer versus me being an artist — but now, it’s the artist’s life from here on out, hopefully.”
As for what fans can expect from the tour, Hayes plans to pull out all the stops for his fans.
“I want to be worth the price of the ticket,” he shared. “I feel a responsibility to deliver a really powerful show. I know that when I take my family to a concert, that’s going to set me back almost a thousand bucks. I’ve got six kids, and I want to go to a show that we’ll remember forever.”
