Directed by Kamren Kennedy, the clip brings the song’s storyline to life, showcasing how Cooke chooses solitude and long drives over downtown bars following a breakup.
“We decided the entire video shouldn’t include anyone else. The lyrics basically say, ‘Hey, I’ve had enough of distracting myself by going out, I need a day to go spend some time with myself and God’” shares Cooke. “Everything in this video feels so ‘me’ – we used my jeep, clothes from my own closet and had a bonfire. I’m just so unbelievably proud of it and can’t wait for people to get to know me a little better through this video.”
“Sunday Morning Kinda Saturday Night” debuted at No.1 iTunes Country chart upon its release. It’s also been played on Sirius XM The Highway’s “On the Horizon” and iHeartCountry’s “Women of iHeart Country.”
The buzzed-about track is one of seven tracks that will appear on Cooke’s forthcoming EP, which is produced by Grammy nominated producer Jimmy Robbins.
