Longtime friends Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood reunited on the Opry stage on Saturday (Sept. 5) for the Grand Ole Opry’s 4,940th consecutive Saturday night broadcast.
The Opry members stepped into the Circle together to perform a variety of songs, including Underwood’s six-week No.1 debut single “Jesus, Take The Wheel” her hit “Dirty Laundry,” his latest single, “No I In Beer” and their chart-topping duet, “Remind Me.”
The pair also joined forces for a show-stopping rendition of “Whiskey Lullaby.” Prior to their performance, Paisley explained that Underwood often sang “Whiskey Lullaby” with him when they toured together early in her career. The song was originally recorded by Paisley with Alison Krauss and released in 2004 and went on to win the title of CMA Song of the Year in 2005.
Their performance of the iconic duet was a highlight of their Opry appearance and can be seen below just after the 55-minute mark.

Before closing out the Opry show with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken,” Paisley shared his thoughts on this unprecedented year.
“These times are so unique, and I find it so inspiring that the Opry is still going,” he said. “When all is said and done, we will never take for granted getting to come out here and sing again. For me, as long as the Opry keeps going, I have hope!”
Brad Paisley has been an Opry member since 2001 and Carrie Underwood has been an Opry member since 2008.
