On Wednesday (March 1), Carrie Underwood left her mark on Nashville’s Bridgestone as a stop on her Denim & Rhinestones Tour. In true Music City fashion, no concert would be complete without at least one surprise guest. This time, it was country music superstar Brad Paisley who graced the stage during Underwood’s recent show.
Together, the longtime friends commemorated their on-stage reunion of “Paisleywood” with a comedic parody number sung to the tune of Paisley’s, “I’m Gonna Miss Her.” They put their artistry to the test as they made up their own lyrics to better fit the moment that finds them reminiscing on their 11 years as CMA Awards co-hosts.
Paisley starts things off as he sings, “No this ain’t an awards show / But here we are me and you,” while Underwood adds, “Tonight it ain’t about who’s gonna win and who’s gonna lose.”
The pair continues, taking turns with each set of lyrics, which includes a hilarious nod to the 2022 CMA Award co-hosts, Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning.
Paisley: “But if it was, we’d both be winners /Just a singing and a playing”
Underwood: “Cause you’re funnier than Luke”
Paisley: “And you’re prettier than Peyton”
They then come together to sing, “I know you’ve missed us / We’ve missed you too / Lets have some fun at Bridgestone / Like we used to do.”
Paisley once again took the lead as he revealed a secret about his wardrobe choices that fit within the Denim & Rhinestones theme, “underneath this demin, I’m wearing rhinestone underroos.”
His statement earned a roar from the crowd and had a concerned Underwood asking, “Why?” to which he responded, “You sell em! They’re right there on the march table.”
“That can’t be comfortable,” Underwood added.
“Actually, It kinda feels good,” Paisley joked.
The country stars returned to the tune and finished things off as they sang, “I know you’ve missed us / Together again / We’re Paisleywood.”
Later, the pair joined forces to perform an acoustic rendition of their chart-topping duet, “Remind Me.”
Excitement filled the arena as fans applauded Underwood and Paisley for their hilarious stint in the midst of the epic show, which marked another stop on the second leg of the massive tour.
The Denim & Rhinestones Tour launched in the fall, in support of her ninth studio album. After a brief hiatus for the holidays, Underwood returned to the road on Thursday, February 2 at FTX Arena in Miami, Florida. The second leg of the tour also includes stops in Tampa, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, New York, New York, and Nashville, Tennessee.
Joining Underwood on the tour is fellow country hitmaker Jimmie Allen.
“I felt like he made sense,” Underwood previously explained to Country Countdown USA of her tour mate. “He embodies denim & rhinestones, almost as much as I did.”
The Denim & Rhinestone Tour will wrap up on March 17 in Seattle, Washington.
Once she wraps up her headlining stint, Underwood will return to Las Vegas for her wildly successful REFLECTION: The Las Vegas Residency at Resorts World Theatre.
The “Hate My Heart” singer unveiled plans for 18 new dates in Las Vegas beginning June 21.

Underwood was the very first artist to grace the Resorts World Theatre stage when she made her debut at the 5,000-seat theatre with a sold-out show on Dec. 1, 2021. With several costume changes and state-of-the-art production, REFLECTION quickly became a must-see Las Vegas residency.
