The eight-time GRAMMY winner’s return to Las Vegas comes on the heels of her wildly successful 43-city U.S. arena tour, The Denim & Rhinestones Tour. The trek made its way around the country beginning last fall and stopped in Nashville with a few surprises in March.
New SiriusXM Channel
Following the tour, Underwood announced plans to launch her very own SiriusXM Channel, CARRIE’S COUNTRY.
She officially launched the new channel on Friday, June 9 when she appeared live and in-person at SiriusXM’s Music Row Happy Hour at the Margaritaville Cafe in Nashville with SiriusXM host Buzz Brainard.
While at Margaritaville, Underwood spent time taking selfies and signing autographs for fans after pushing a big red button to officially launch the channel.
“I’m thrilled to partner with SiriusXM on my new channel,” Underwood previously said in a press release. “I can’t wait to welcome listeners into my personal musical universe, sharing my favorite music across all of the genres I love, from classic rock to the latest in country.”
Listeners can expect CARRIE’S COUNTRY to be a musical journey that highlights Underwood’s friends, favorite tracks, and influences, from new and classic country, to classic and hard rock, workout hits, gospel, and more. This set of music will be the ideal soundtrack for any exercise routines, road trips and late-night jam sessions. The channel will also unveil stories behind the female songstress’ music, her record-breaking career, and life on the road.
Fans can listen to CARRIE’S COUNTRY on SiriusXM channel 60 as well as on the SXM App.
Deluxe Album Coming Soon
On top of her return to Vegas and the launch of CARRIE’S COUNTRY, Underwood also announced plans to release Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) with six new tracks. To celebrate the announcement, Underwood shared the brand-new track: “Take Me Out.”
Co-written by Underwood with David Garcia and Hillary Lindsey, “Take Me Out” shares the familiar story of a romance that needs rekindling due to the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Throughout the lyrics, Underwood begs her partner to “kiss me like it’s the first time tonight” and take her out on the town.
“And take me out on the town/ Flirt with me in the dark/ Make my heart skip a beat/ Like only you can do to me/ Stealin’ kisses in some old dive bar/ Make me feel like your woman/ Slow burnin’ in a neon crowd/ Yeah, I’m wantin’ you to want me, baby/ So take me out/ Take me out,” she sings on the chorus.
“Out Of That Truck” At Country Radio Now
The release of “Take Me Out” comes as her latest single, “Out Of That Truck,” was officially released to country radio as her next single.
“Out Of That Truck” isn’t your typical truck song. The breakup anthem puts the superstar’s powerhouse vocals at the forefront as she sends a message to her ex.
Throughout the lyrics, Underwood warns her past lover that memories of her won’t be quick to fade away. In fact, she says there’s “so much of me left I bet you must get déja vu.”
“When you’re runnin’ around in that stick shift Chevy/ I bet it drives you crazy/ Thinking about us on every/ Other back road, baby/ You got someone new on your bench seat/ Trying to forget me lately/ But my memory’s stuck/ So good luck/ Trying to get me out of that truck,” she sings on the guitar-heavy chorus.
Carrie Underwood wrote “Out Of That Truck” alongside David Garcia and Lydia Vaughn.
