Chris Janson recently shared a touching on stage moment with his monitor engineer, Crash, inviting him to sing together as he navigates some personal struggles.
The country star asked his crew member to join him in front of the crowd to help him deliver a pair of beloved gospel songs after noticing him worshipping from the side of the stage.
“I saw you singing. Why don’t you come sing it with me? Would you come sing it with me?” he stated.

With Janson seated at the piano and Crash kneeling down below him, the two broke out in a set of powerful harmonies that made the room fall silent. They delivered a short medley of the Southern gospel song “I Can’t Even Walk (Without You Holding My Hand)” before transitioning into “Amazing Grace.”
Their delivery earned loud applause from the crowd and ended with the two of them wrapped up in a tight hug bowing to the audience and returning to the show.
“I love you brother you owe me a hug before you leave this stage,” said Janson as the crowd continued to cheer.
Before the performance, the Missouri native took a moment to recognize Crash for all he does behind the scenes and share some kind words about his hard worth ethic that has continued despite personal challenges he has recently faced.
“He probably works harder than anybody out here. I know that he does actually. He gets up before everybody, he goes to bed after everybody, and he cares about touring and he cares about the nerdy things that nobody ever wants to care about,” Janson admitted. “Crash has been going through the fire a little bit lately. And he didn’t really deserve to be going through the fire. It just happens sometimes to people.”
This tender moment offered a glimpse into the tight bond between Janson shares with the people who help bring his live shows to life each night.
Meanwhile, Janson recently released a solo version of his feel-good anthem “FUN,” which originally featured David Lee Murphy. Written by Janson, David Lee Murphy, Jesse Murphy, Michael Wayne Wilkes and Mitchell Oglesby, the track has become a fan favorite at his live shows and inspired the name of his upcoming The FUN Tour.
“I’m excited to have both out in the marketplace! Fans at live shows love singing along to this song which is why we are calling the tour The FUN Tour. I needed a solo version because unfortunately David Lee Murphy cannot be at every tour stop and this song is such a hit with the fans.”
Chris Janson is expected to announce upcoming dates for his 2027 The FUN Tour in the coming months.
