NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin recreated Morgan Wallen’s viral “Broadway Girls” walkout ahead of Sunday’s Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway and got a little help from a few country singers along the way.
In the clip posted to his Instagram and TikTok, Hamlin makes his way from his spacious bunk in his motorcoach to the track. As Wallen and Lil Durk’s “Broadway Girls” plays, he stops to give his fiancée a kiss, pauses to sign a document, gives a high-five, grabs his sunglasses, and then makes his way outside.
There, he’s met by viral TikTok signer Tayler Holder, singer/songwriter Dylan Schneider, and more. They exchange high fives and fist bumps and the group then continues to follow Hamlin as he makes his way to his car, pumping him up along the way.
Hamlin’s recreation of the Wallen walkout caught the attention of a few country stars, including Michael Ray, who commented, “Hahaha. Get that 🏁,” and Chris Lane, who told him, “Haha get em buddy 🤘🏻.”
It seems as if the walkout was nearly a good luck charm for Hamlin because he was in the lead with less than five laps to go, however, things unfortunately took a turn and he finished in 12th. Impressively, Hamlin led for 70 laps of the race.
Ultimately, Joey Logano walked away from the Ally 400 victorious.
HARDY appeared at the Ally 400 NASCAR Cup Series as the Grand Marshal, while Luke Combs joined in on the fun as the honorary pace car driver. Sierra Ferrell was on hand to sing the National Anthem.
Wallen’s infamous walkout to “Broadway Girls” began with the stadium run of his One Night At A Time World Tour. Each night, fans inside the venue can watch as he walks from his dressing room to the stage to the tune of “Broadway Girls.” He’s previously welcomed special guests to the walkout as well, including Theo Von, Pat McAfee, Moneybagg Yo, and more.
This week, the country star is taking a short break from the U.S. leg of the trek for a show at BST Hyde Park in London. Joining Wallen are special guests Riley Green, ERNEST, Ella Langley, Alana Springsteen, Alexandra Kay, Zandi Holup, Abbie Mac, The Haflway Kid, and Evan Bartels. This one-night-only event will take place on Thursday, July 4.
Wallen will then head back to the United States for two consecutive nights in Tampa, Florida on July 11 and 12, continuing the tour until August 9 when he concludes with two nights in Las Vegas. Afterward, he will launch into a series of shows overseas in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and other countries.
