Alan Jackson is all smiles in a newly released family photo announcing the birth of his second grandson, Wesley Alan Smith.
The country music icon took to social media to share that his daughter, Mattie, and her husband, Connor Smith, welcomed the little man into the world on June 20, 2024.
“Denise and I are so happy to announce the arrival of our grandson,” he wrote along the picture that features himself, his wife, Mattie, and of course, little Wesley Alan.
Proud mom Mattie announced her son’s birth late last week.
“One week ago my life was forever changed,” she began, and went on to reveal her son’s name, which includes a nod to her father-in-law (Wesley) and her father (Alan).
“You have all my heart and my prayers, baby boy. If you’re anything like both your namesakes (Connor’s grandad and @officialalanjackson ), you’ve got quite a life ahead of you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻,” she added.

The new mom admitted that being a mom is unlike anything she had ever experienced as she wrote, “There is no greater honor in life than being chosen by God to be your mom. And no sweeter joy than watching your daddy adore you and protect you already.”
Her post included several photos of their newborn son, including a sweet family snapshot and the moment little Wesley Alan met their dog, Ryman.
Congratulatory messages flooded the post as everyone gushed over their tiny bundle of joy.
Alan Jackson is also a grandfather to Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, born on December 12, 2022, coinciding with Alan and his wife Denise’s 43rd wedding anniversary.
Earlier this year, the couple joyfully shared the news of Mattie’s pregnancy on social media, eagerly anticipating their second grandchild’s arrival.
“Blessings are overflowing in our growing family! Denise and I are thrilled for our second grandson to arrive in June! We’re so happy for proud parents @mattiejackson and Connor Smith and can’t wait to meet the next addition to our family,” they wrote at the time.
2024 is gearing up to be quite a memorable year for Alan Jackson. In addition to good news on the personal front, the Country Music Hall of Famer is also set to receive one of the highest honors in the songwriting community when he is honored with the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award at the upcoming 7th annual Nashville Songwriter Awards.

Additionally, the “Good Time” singer will soon hit the road on his LAST CALL: ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD Tour, which kicks off on August 2 and runs select dates through May of 2025.
“Some of the best times are had right at last call, and this is one last call that you don’t want to miss,” Jackson shared upon the latest announcement of shows.
