George Strait is one of country music’s most celebrated entertainers, but who knew he was also a seasoned storybook reader?

The legendary performer recently took part in the Stars of Texas Storytime program, which is organized by Texas First Lady Cecilia Abbott. Strait appeared on the series to read Gareth Edwards’ Never Ask a Dinosaur to Dinner. Wearing his iconic cowboy hat and flashing his signature smile, Strait read the children’s book from what appeared to be his home. He even added a bit of cute commentary while reading, making for a more personal storytime experience.
