American Idol winner Hannah Harper is honoring the legendary Dolly Parton with an official cover of Parton’s iconic hit “9 to 5,” recorded live at Dollywood.

Harper recently had the opportunity to perform at the beloved Tennessee theme park, which Parton opened in 1986. During her visit, Harper took a moment to pay tribute to the country music icon by performing “a couple of Dolly tunes,” including the chart-topping hit that has become one of Parton’s signature songs.

Now, fans can hear Harper’s take on “9 to 5” for themselves, as the live recording is officially available for all to hear.

“Getting to sing this iconic song, at Dollywood of all places, was such a full-circle moment! Dolly has inspired so many of us girls with big dreams, and it means the world to me to put my own little spin on one of her classics,” Harper shared upon the release of the song.

For Harper, the opportunity to perform at Dollywood was about more than simply covering one of country music’s most recognizable songs. It was also a chance to celebrate the woman whose music and career have inspired generations of artists, including Harper herself.

She previously reflected on the experience of performing at a place Parton loved and helped bring to life, sharing her gratitude for the opportunity to honor the singer and songwriter.

“What an honor it was to stand on a stage at Dollywood and pay tribute to a woman who has paved the way for so many of us in country music. Dolly is was proof that you can hold tight to your roots and still dream bigger than the mountains you came from.”

Fans are already showing Harper’s “9 to 5” cover plenty of love, with many praising her tribute to Parton.

“I’m sure Dolly is really proud of the way you celebrated her music,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Runnin’ to download! From the dress to the song Dolly would be so proud!”

Harper documented the performance in a live video, wearing a colorful dress inspired by Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors.” Designed by Stitch by Tish, the gown was the second creation designer Tish Yates made for Harper and was crafted from a vintage afghan sourced from Keen Eye Antiques in Ozark, Missouri. Yates shared that they had been waiting for the perfect occasion for Harper to wear the one-of-a-kind design, and her performance of “9 to 5” at Dollywood turned out to be exactly the moment they had in mind.
