On Wednesday night (July 24), HARDY appeared The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to showcase the song “PSYCHO” off his just-released album, Quit!!. However, he didn’t just sing the track, he put on an elevated performance to give viewers the full effect of the hard-core storytelling.
Following his introduction from Jimmy Fallon, the genre-bending hitmaker took the stage wearing a white straightjacket with an image of a padded cell behind him, setting the scene of someone in a psychiatric ward. This was HARDY’s way of replicating the song’s music video, which found him playing the role of a patient who was locked up for his erratic behavior over a woman who turned out to be a figment of his imagination.

He brought that same story to life on the late-night TV show with the help of his bandmates who donned all-white uniforms. The singer/songwriter started off with his arms constrained as he calmly delivered the opening verse that details the moment he met his love interest and started to become completely infatuated.
“I met your friends at the bar last night/ I think the round of limoncello won ’em over/ I said we’re perfect, hell we hardly ever fight/ I told ’em you’re a queen, I’m just a lucky joker/ Things are goin’ great, yeah, we communicate/ Lovin’ you is easier than ever/ I pray you never go, there’s something you should know/ I hope you stay forever ’cause,” he sings.
Upon reaching the chorus, HARDY’s energy rises along with the intensity of his vocals, making it clear that his obsession with her has reached a whole new level. HARDY finally breaks free from his restraints and he and his bandmates continue to rock out the remainder of the song.
“If you ever leave me, girl, I’ll get a face tattoo/ Steal a truck, end up on the six o’clock news/ If you say goodbye, hell, I’ll dye my hair/ Crash your birthday party in my underwear/ Hey, I hope you never have to see the day/ But if you ever walk away, well/ Everybody you know, everybody I know’s/ Gonna know you fell in love with a psycho,” HARDY delivers on the chorus.
“That is how you do it!” Fallon exclaimed at the end of the performance.
Penned by HARDY with Tyler Hubbard, Jax and Zach Abend and currently climbing at rock and alternative radio, “PYSHCO” appears on the Philadelphia, Mississippi native’s new album Quit!!. Released July 12 via Big Loud Rock, the project was recorded with Joey Moi features previously released tracks “JIM BOB,” “SIX FEET UNDER (Caleigh’s Song),” and his Top 5 single at rock radio, “ROCKSTAR.” It is currently is No. 1 on the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart and, with 24,000 units, comes in at No. 23 on the Billboard 200, No. 9 on Album Sales and No. 5 on Current Rock Albums charts.
This marks the first time HARDY has unveiled an album that fully embraces his rock sound, following last year’s half rock, half country LP, the mockingbird & THE CROW.

HARDY is currently making his rounds on his headline Quit!! Tour. Produced by Live Nation, this 15-date run finds him performing in amphitheaters and arenas across North America alongside his openers Kip Moore, Travis Denning, Ella Langley, and Stephen Wilson Jr.
He launched the run in May and will continue through October when he wraps things up with a stop in his home state of Mississippi for his first-ever stadium show as well as two back-to-back nights at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.
