While visiting New York City over the weekend, singer/songwriter/personality Jessie James Decker made an appearance at Citi Field to perform the National Anthem ahead of the Mets game.

Decker sported a Mets jersey for the performance and delivered a goosebumps-inducing rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The performance was particularly memorable as it occurred near the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on America.

“Always an honor to sing the national anthem,” Decker shared following her performance. “Thank you so much for having me out @mets and for all the hospitality❤️”

The mom of three documented her time in the Big Apple on Instagram, sharing a stunning photo of her on the streets of the big city.

“I ❤️ NY,” Decker captioned the photo.

Meanwhile, fans in the comments section begged Decker to bring her store, Kittenish, to New York City. There are currently two storefronts of the boutique (Nashville TN and Dallas TX). Another brick and mortar location is coming soon to Tampa, FL.

Decker is hot on the heels of the release of her new country single, “Should Have Known Better,” a feisty breakup anthem that find Decker feeling more self-assured than ever before as she bids farewell to an ex.

The songstress brought the song to life with a brand new music video. Directed by Kevin + King and shot in Joshua Tree, Decker belts out the powerful lyrics as she sheds the memories of a love gone wrong.
