CMT Awards co-host, Kane Brown took a break from his hosting duties to perform “Thank God” alongside his wife, Katelyn Brown.
The beloved couple joined forces on an outdoor stage to deliver the television debut of the song.
Sporting coordinating black ensembles the couple delivered a flawless performance of the chart-topping hit as they lovingly gazed into each other’s eyes.
At the conclusion of their performance, Kane and Katelyn shared a sweet kiss as fans applauded from the crowd.
“Thank God” was released in September as part of Brown’s latest album, Different Man. The romantic duet immediately resonated with fans and made a major impact upon its official release to country radio.
The No.1 song finds Kane and Katelyn professing their love for one another and admitting that they “Thank God” every single day for bringing them together.
“So, thank God/ I get to wake up by your side and thank God/ Your hand fits perfectly in mine and thank God/ You loved me when you didn’t have to/ But you did and you do and He knew/ Thank God for giving me you/ Oh, yeah, thank God/ Thank God for giving me you,” they sing on the chorus.
“Thank God” was written by Josh Hoge, Jaxson Free, Kyle Fishman, Christian Davis, and Jared Mullins.
Kane previously shared how it ended up in his hands and how it ultimately became a duet with Katelyn.
“So me and Kate have been trying to release a song for like five years now. And we kept getting songs coming in, we thought that you know, each of them was the song for us but it never felt right,” the superstar explained. “So my buddy Josh, that’s signed to my publishing deal, he sent me a song called Thank God and I listened to it and I fell in love with it. And then kept listened to it and kept listening to it. I was like, this could be a duet. So I asked Kate and Kate fell in love with the song and now it’s one of my favorite songs.”
