Kelsea Ballerini has teamed up with pop superstar Halsey for an episode of CMT Crossroads, and the network is teasing fans with another sneak peek of the show before its premiere on March 25.
The collaborative, acoustic rendition of “homecoming queen?” marks the second teaser clip from the show, following their prior release of CMT Crossroads performance of “Graveyard.”
“If there is any song that I wish I would’ve wrote, it is homecoming queen? by Kelsea Ballerini,” Halsey told the crowd before their stunning performance.
During the duet, you can see Ballerini and Halsey blending their vocals so perfectly, harmonizing while also playing their black acoustic guitars.
Watch the clip above to see the superstars join forces on “homecoming queen?,” which serves as the debut single from Ballerini’s third studio album, kelsea, set for release on March 20.
“homecoming queen?,” which Ballerini co-wrote with Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins, is about showcasing your true self and realizing it’s okay to reveal your insecurities.
Ballerini and Halsey’s CMT Crossroads episode was filmed during a special public outdoor taping at Ascend Amphitheatre in downtown Nashville, marking the 70th episode of the critically-acclaimed CMT series which has featured one-of-a-kind pairings of artists such as: Bon Jovi and Sugarland; Kelly Clarkson and Reba McEntire; Def Leppard and Taylor Swift; John Mayer and Keith Urban; Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood; Stevie Nicks and Lady Antebellum; Katy Perry and Kacey Musgraves; and Alicia Keys and Maren Morris.
The superstars CMT Crossroads episode will air on March 25 at 10 PM ET/PT on CMT.
