It’s no secret that Ashton Kutcher is a country music fan, so it’s no surprise that he recruited a few of his country music friends, including Kenny Chesney, to help him prepare for the 2022 TCS New York City Marathon with Peloton.
Chesney joined the actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and humanitarian to help him prepare for the marathon while training on the Peloton Tread as part of the Our Future Selves with Ashton Kutcher series.
In this just-released teaser clip, Kutcher welcomes Chesney to his training facility, aka his basement, to learn what keeps the country superstar going.
“All we’re gonna do today is we’re gonna get along down the road, we got a long, long way to go, the actor says, referencing Chesney’s chart-topping hit, “Get Along.”
He adds, “Our guest, the great Kenny Chesney!”
The eight-time Entertainer of the Year was thrilled to join Kutcher in his marathon training journey, even though he’s never run a marathon himself.
“I have never ran a marathon. What he’s doing is very inspiring. To get there, it’s a journey, it’s a grind,” Chesney acknowledges. “I’m very proud of him. I’m proud to be part of it.”
Joining Kutcher and Chesney for the episode was Peloton Instructor Denis Morton.
“Kenny is known for his inspiring and heartfelt music,” he shared exclusively with Country Now. “He was equally motivating during our run with Ashton. I can’t wait for Members to get to know Kenny, how grounded he is and experience his music in a new way. I know they will feel motivated to push themselves, just like I did.”
Peloton users can experience the 30-minute run Ashton Kutcher, Kenny Chesney, and Denis Morton via the App or Tread beginning Tuesday, September 27. The run is set to some of Chesney’s biggest hits.
The 10-week,16-episode series also features Thomas Rhett, Kim Kardashian, Natalie Portman, John Batiste, Chris Paul, and Allyson Felix as they help get Kutcher get marathon ready.
Kutcher is running the marathon to raise money and awareness for his nonprofit, Thorn, which builds technology to defend children from sexual exploitation and eliminate child sexual abuse material from the internet.
“Running this marathon is all about raising funds and awareness for my nonprofit, Thorn. Protecting kids from sexual abuse is something I’ve been working on for a decade and much like a marathon we will only reach our goal through dedication, endurance, and discipline,” said Ashton Kutcher, co-founder of Thorn. “Having Peloton instructors get me marathon ready has been incredible and creating this series has been a blast. I’ve talked to brilliant actors, musicians, writers, athletes and doctors about what keeps them going and their “why.”
