Less than 48 hours before kicking off the Here And Now Tour in Tampa, Florida, Kenny Chesney shocked patrons at a Florida bar with an unexpected performance alongside Old Dominion.

On Thursday evening (April 21), the eight-time Entertainer Of The Year and reigning 2022 ACM Group Of The Year surprised guests at Crowbar in Ybor City, Florida, with a performance of Kenny Chesney’s “Save It For A Rainy Day.”

Old Dominion announced the intimate, surprise pop-up show on social media just hours before it took place and within 10 minutes, all of the tickets were claimed.

In a clip shared on social media, Chesney is seen making his grand entrance to the stage, wearing a red shirt and hat, to sing his fan-favorite hit with the award-winning group.

The moment made for a once-in-a-life experience for attendees as the venue only holds 300 people, a stark contrast to the 60,000+ fans who will attend the Saturday’s concert at Raymond James Stadium.

Following their show-stopping performance with Chesney, the “I Was On A Boat That Day” singers took to social media to share a photo of their pop-up show.

“Surprise show indeed! What a crazy fun night in Tampa!” Old Dominion wrote. ”Thank y’all for showing up on such short notice!”

They then gushed over their excitement for the Here And Now Tour with Chesney, “This tour is gonna be insane.”

Co-written by Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey and Brad Tursi alongside Andrew Dorff, “Save It For A Rainy Day” appears as the fourth and final single from Chesney’s 2014 album, The Big Revival.

The pop-up performance took place just miles away from Raymond James Stadium, where Chesney will kick off his massive stadium tour with Old Dominion, Dan + Shay and Carly Pearce on Saturday (April 23).

The band, who have toured with Chesney multiple times, say that Chesney and his crew are like “family” to them now.

“That’s the dream gig to go on tour with him. Everybody wants to experience that and should be so lucky to experience it once, and this happens to be our fourth time,” Old Dominion frontman Matthew Ramsey shared with ABC Radio. “We’re good friends at this point with him and his whole crew, and we love it so much. It’s a family reunion at this point, so we’re so happy to go back out there with Kenny.”

Kenny Chesney’s Here And Now Tour 2022 kicks off on Saturday, April 23 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The 41-city tour runs through August 27 with back-to-back nights at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
