Watch Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie’s Epic ‘American Idol’ Golf Cart Race

American Idol judges Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie took to the golf course to have some competitive fun during a recent episode of the hit ABC show. 

In the hilarious clip, the two superstars are seen racing towards the finish line, but Bryan somehow clinches the win as Richie takes second place. 

“I had my pedal to the metal, and I could not get the power that I needed,” Richie confesses.

Luke Bryan’s golf cart was decorated with hunting and fishing ornamentation while Lionel Richie’s cart was decked out with a disco ball and other 1970s decor. At certain points in the race, the country star gets close to his competition and kicks his foot out to possibly tip Richie’s cart. Thankfully, no American Idol judges were hurt in the making of this video.
