Luke Combs made his debut appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live on February 1, taking the stage for not one, but two solid performances.

Though it was his first time taking the stage on the iconic show, the North Carolina native didn’t appear to be nervous. He delivered two flawless performances full of energy and confidence.

J.J. Watt, a defensive end for the Houston Texans, hosted the episode and introduced Combs’ two songs. The reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year first took the stage to perform “Lovin’ On You,” a mid-tempo love song from his latest album, What You See Is What You Get.

Later in the show, Combs returned to sing his smash hit “Beer Never Broke My Heart.” Clearly hyped up to be performing in front of the live SNL audience, Combs’ performance was spirited and full of life.

After the taping, the superstar took to social media to document the experience, calling it a “surreal day.” He also praised host J.J. Watt, saying he is “a hell of a dude and funny too.”

Combs will launch his much-anticipated 2020 What You See Is What You Get Tour on February 7 in Columbia, MO.
