The Chicks

The Chicks offered a harmony-filled performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” to open the fourth and final night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Natalie Maines, Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire’s a cappella version of the National Anthem preceded Joe Biden’s closing speech, in which he accepted the nomination for President of the United States of America.
The Chicks aren’t the only musical artists to take part in this year’s DNC; Jennifer Hudson, Billie Eilish, John Legend, Maggie Rogers and more took part in the event earlier this week.
The Grammy-winning trio, who has been outspoken about politics for several years, recently earned a chart-topping album with the release of Gaslighter. The critically-acclaimed project is The Chicks’ first full-length release since 2006’s Taking The Long Way.
