Grand Ole Opry member and country hitmaker Trace Adkins recently joined forces with superstars Luke Bryan and Pitbull to film the official music video for their all-star collab, “Where The Country Girls At.”
Directed by David Rousseau, the unexpected trio brings the heat for the video filmed in the luxurious Miami sunshine, as well as at Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink in downtown Nashville. Full of rowdy energy, the stars prove they know how to get the party started in the epic clip.
“I loved it,” Adkins shared in an interview with CMT. “Having Luke and Pitbull adding their talent makes this a special video for me. A honkytonk, country girls, a song they can dance to, and Pitbull on his yacht. It’s a wrap!”
“Luke lives right down the road…” Adkins explained in a press release when asked why he chose Luke Bryan and Pitbull to collaborate with on the track. “And Pitbull we were like who could we ask who will absolutely tell us ‘no’? Pitbull. And then he said ‘yes’ and I couldn’t believe it. He’s been awesome to work with and he’s been very gracious with his time and talent and we’re just ridin’ on his coattails.”
The 25-song project on Verge Records honors one of the biggest milestones of the singer’s career: the 25th anniversary of Adkins’ debut album, Dreamin’ Out Loud, becoming PLATINUM-certified.
With the Multi-Platinum artist’s signature smooth vocals and the addition of artists including Blake Shelton, Melissa Etheridge, Keb’ Mo’, Snoop Dogg and Stevie Wonder, Adkins’ 13th studio album was destined to be a success.
In addition to the release of his new music, the Louisiana native recently wrapped up his time as the featured guest on Blake Shelton’s Friends & Heroes Tour and plans to continue playing headline shows the rest of 2021. Adkins will also be gracing the big screen in a new drama series, Monarch, that will be premiering in January on Fox.
