Zac Brown Band gave new life to the song, “Wild Palomino” with a brand-new version of the track featuring multi-platinum-selling labelmate, Cody Johnson.

On Friday (July 15), the pair joined forces for the live debut of the track at Fenway Park in Boston, MA. The show marked ZBB’s 13th sellout of Fenway Park. Ahead of the show, the band was inducted into the Fenway Music Hall of Fame.

“We’ll never forget singing this one live together for the first time. Thank you, @fenwaypark! Stream the new version of ‘Wild Palomino’ with @codyjohnson, available everywhere now,” the artists shared alongside a video of their performance.

In the clip, the two country superstars are seen singing on stage singing the buzzed-about duet.

“You can’t put reins on a wild palomino / You won’t see an old cowboy cry / Long as God’s still in church / And hard work still works / And this collar on my shirt’s still blue / I’ll never stop lovin’ you,” the pair sing on the chorus.

The track, which was co-written by Zac Brown alongside Wyatt Beasley Durrette, III, Ben Simonetti & Jonathan Singleton, was first released by the chart-topping group in October 2021.

The collaborative rendition of “Wild Palomino” will appear on Zac Brown Band’s forthcoming 21-track deluxe version of their album, The Comeback, which is due out on September 30. The deluxe project will feature several of Zac Brown Band’s friends and musical heroes.

“‘The Comeback’ is the best album we’ve ever made, and to re-record a few tracks with some musical legends was such an honor,” ZBB shared. “We’re so grateful to do what we do and we can’t wait to share the full album with our fans.”

Earlier this summer, Zac Brown Band paired up with Blake Shelton for a reimagined version of their current single, “Out In The Middle,” which will also appear on the deluxe project.
