Zac Brown Band just released a new digital single called “You and Islands” and it boasts the kind of message we all need to hear right now.
Written, recorded and produced while in quarantine, the breezy, carefree tune finds the Grammy-winning band reminiscing about better times and looking forward to a time when life is good again.
“Let’s get back to you and islands/ Bahama breeze blowing through your hair/ Starin’ at that blue horizon/ Close my eyes and I’m right back there/ I swear I feel the chair sinkin’ in the sand/ Listenin’ to the rasta band/ The love we made that last night/ Let’s get back to you and islands/ Everything, baby, everything’ll be alright,” Brown sings on the chorus.
The song was co-written by Zac Brown, Ben Simonetti and Adam James and follows the release of the band’s latest single, “The Man Who Loves You The Most.”
“This unprecedented time at home has given us the opportunity to write and share new music with our fans. As we continue to navigate through this together, we hope our music can bring you a little bit of positivity and transport you to a different time and place – even if just for a few minutes,” said Brown. “This was a fun track to record. We hope you sing along with us as we daydream about days to come!”
