Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves Achieve Rare Chart Feat Previously Held By Kenny Rogers And Dolly Parton

Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves each earned their first-ever Billboard Hot 100 with their just-released duet, “I Remember Everything.”

The song debuted atop the all-genre chart, which incorporates various factors, including cross-genre U.S. streaming data encompassing both official audio and video streams, radio broadcasting reach, and sales data. 

According to Billboard and Luminate, “I Remember Everything” raked in 33.7 million streams and sold 10,000 downloads for the week ending on August 31. While it’s not being promoted at country radio, the track also drew in 263,000 impressions at radio.

Additionally, “I Remember Everything” debuted at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, and Hot Rock Songs charts. 

Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves’ “I Remember Everything” follows Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton’s “Islands in the Stream” (1983) as the second shared Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs chart-topper by a male artist and female artist.

“I Remember Everything” marks the fourth country song to top the Billboard Hot 100 consecutively following Oliver Anthony’s “Rich Men North of Richmond, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” and Jason Aldean’s “Try That in a Small Town.”

Bryan and Musgraves co-wrote “I Remember Everything,” which appears on Bryan’s new self-titled album. 

The collaborative track unfolds as a poignant ballad, weaving the narratives of two souls reflecting on their diverse recollections of a former love. Opening the song with heartfelt verses and the chorus, Bryan leads the way, and later, Musgraves lends her velvety vocals to sustain the narrative, infusing it with a blend of intense emotion and haunting melodies.

“A cold shoulder at closing time / You were bеggin’ me to stay ’til the sun rose / Strangе words come on out / Of a grown man’s mouth when his mind’s broke / Pictures and passin’ time / You only smile like that when you’re drinkin’ / I wish I didn’t, but I do / Remember every moment on the nights with you,” they sing on the chorus.

New Album Out Now

Released on August 25, Zach Bryan includes 16 tracks and was produced entirely by Bryan himself. 

The album debuted at No.1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, marking Bryan’s first-ever album to claim the top spot on the chart. 

“I love you guys and I appreciate you,” the singer/songwriter wrote on X after hearing the news. “This has been an unbelievable year.”

2024 Tour Announcement

Following the release of his self-titled project, Zach Bryan sent fans into a frenzy with the announcement of his 2024 tour. 

Dubbed “The Quittin Time Tour,” the trek kicks off on March 6 in Chicago, Illinois. The tour will make stops at arenas and stadiums around North American through December 14 and will feature special guests Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Turnpike Troubadours, Sheryl Crow, Sierra Ferrell, The Middle East, Matt Maeson, and Levi Turner on select dates. 

Zach Bryan recently wrapped his The Burn, Burn, Burn Tour and is next slated to perform at Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin, Tennessee on Sunday, September 24.
