Buzzed-about country newcomer Zach Top is delivering a fresh dose of his traditional country sound with his new single, “Beer For Breakfast,” released via Leo33.

Penned by Top with Carson Chamberlin and Kevin Denney, the clever, tongue-in-cheek tune celebrates the rising star’s love for beer and emphasizes his belief that it will go down smooth at any time of day. So when life gets to be too much, or you just need a quick pick-me-up, the rising star says that the best remedy is cracking open a cold one. With its mid-tempo melody and lighthearted energy, “Beer For Breakfast” makes for the perfect soundtrack to those laid-back moments.

“It goes down smooth/ Puts you in a good mood/ Starts your day off right/ Helps you make it till noon,” he sings in the opening verse.

Making his way into the chorus, Zach Top showcases his nostalgic sound, reminiscent of the beloved ‘90s era of country music, while adding his own modern twist that highlights his authentic twang.

He continues to sing, “Beer for breakfast/ Beer for lunch/ Beer for supper/ It just ain’t enough/ It makes a mighty good nightcap/ When your day’s been rough/ Aw and in the mornin’ instead of coffee and eggs/ I’ll have Beer for breakfast.”

While reflecting on the song’s lighthearted nature, he said, “Don’t go looking for some deep message in this song. This is a fun loving, country ass way of lettin people know, if they didn’t already, I like beer!!”

Top went on to note how “Beer For Breakfast” has already become a crowd-favorite in his set as it adds a bit of extra fun into the show and always seems to get fans singing along.

“People have been lovin this thing on the live shows and I hope they love the single just as much and that it puts them in the mood to pop the top on a cold one and forget about their troubles for a little while,” he added.

Accompanying his latest release is a brand-new visualizer that compiles moments from Top’s various sets across the country, from sound check to warming up with a cold one and finally, hitting the stage and singing along with his loyal listeners.
