NBC and Peacock have named Kane Brown as this year’s recipient of the Country Champion Award. The multi-platinum singer-songwriter will be presented with this honor during the 2024 “People’s Choice Country Awards.”
Brown has been chosen to receive the Country Champion Award as a result of his dedication to serving his community and the esteemed contributions he’s made to the country music industry throughout his career.
The Rise Of Kane Brown
He kickstarted his musical journey independently by building a presence on social media and has slowly worked his way up to becoming one of country music’s most accomplished artists and global entertainers. Just to name a few of his many accomplishments, Brown has racked up 11 chart-topping No. 1 singles on country radio, headlined internationally sold out tours and stadium dates and is one of only seven other country artists to have received a diamond-certified single by the RIAA to date.
Most recently, Brown released the follow up to his 11th No. 1 single on country radio, “Miles On It,” with Marshmello, and is currently on the road for 2024 In The Air stadium headline tour. With all his many achievements and groundbreaking milestones, he continues to redefine and push the boundaries of the genre.
Supporting Young People Through The Boys & Girls Club
The country star has found ways to use his success to feed his passion for philanthropy, including his efforts in serving young people. In 2022, Brown was honored with the Boys & Girls Club’s prestigious Champion of Youth Award in recognition of his outstanding work and commitment to the organization.
“Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy will extend beyond music,” said Jen Neal, Executive Vice President, Live Events and Specials, NBCUniversal Entertainment. “His dedication to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspiring, and we’re thrilled to honor him with the Country Champion Award.”
Kane Brown will be the second artist to receive the CountryChampion Award, following Wynonna Judd who accepted the honor during the inaugural PCCAs ceremony in 2023. With this news, he now joins previously announced 2024 “People’s Choice Country Awards” honoree Miranda Lambert, who will be presented with the Country Icon Award at the upcoming show.
Hosted by Shania Twain, the 2024 “People’s Choice Country Awards” will air live on Thursday, Sept. 26 from Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry. Fans can tune into NBC and Peacock at 8 p.m. ET/PT to catch the star-studded show.
Additionally, the “Live From E!: People’s Choice Country Awards” red carpet event will kick off the night at 6 p.m. ET/PT on E!.
