Blake Shelton has ended his record-setting, historic two-decade partnership with his longtime record label, Warner Music Nashville.

The announcement was made in a press release on Tuesday morning (Sept. 3), indicating that the split was amicable.

“I moved to Nashville when I was 17 to sing country music and get a record deal,” Shelton, 48, shared in a statement. “Along with the support from Warner, my dreams came true, and then some. It’s impossible to name everyone who has had a hand in all the success we enjoyed, but a huge and heartfelt thank you to the Giant Records, Warner Bros. Records and Warner Music Nashville staff and family.”

“Working alongside Blake these past 23 years has been an honor and a privilege,” Warner Music Nashville shared collectively. “Together, we’ve celebrated a record number of hit songs, sold-out tours and award wins. Blake’s talent is undeniable, but that wit of his, and the countless moments of laughter he’s given us remind us how fun this business of music can be. While our time together has come to an end, we count ourselves amongst his biggest fans and are grateful for the ride with this true gentleman and icon.”

Shelton made a splash in 2001 with his debut single “Austin,” which soared to No. 1 and kicked off a series of 28 No. 1 hits. Over his career, he’s amassed 11 billion global streams, sold 13 million albums, and 52 million singles. His accolades include 10 CMA Awards—featuring Entertainer of the Year and five consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year titles—alongside numerous ACM, AMA, CMT, and People’s Choice Awards.

Early next year, Shelton will head to Las Vegas for a run of six shows, scheduled to take place from February 5 to February 15, 2025. The highly anticipated events will take place at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The Oklahoma native admits he’s been considering a Las Vegas residency for quite a while and is eager to take the stage in Sin City.

“We’ve been talking about a Vegas residency for a few years, and all the pieces just came together for a run next year,” Shelton shared in a statement. “The Colosseum is such an iconic venue, and I’m excited to bring some honky-tonk neon to the Palace.”

The performances are scheduled for February 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15, with each show starting at 8 p.m. local time.

Shelton is currently making his way up the country charts with “Pour Me A Drink,” his collaboration with Post Malone. After making its way into the Top 10, the track is showing no sign of slowing down as it races toward the No.1 spot.

“Pour Me A Drink” was released in June as the second single from Post Malone’s debut country album, F-1 Trillion. It’s a classic country anthem that embraces the weekend tradition of unwinding from life’s stresses with drinking and smoking. Rather than trying to keep up with the crowd, the duo chooses to kick back with cold drinks and savor the moment.

Shelton joined Post Malone for the music video, which perfectly captures the essence of the song.
