It’s a BOY for Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell!
The couple revealed the gender of their baby on Friday (Jan. 1) on Instagram with a video recapping the moment they shared the news with family.
In the clip, the “Big, Big Plans” singer can be seen hitting a golf ball that explodes into blue powder. Lane can’t contain his excitement over having a baby boy as he screams, jumps and runs to embrace Lauren to revel in the moment.
“Hello 2021 ..It’s a BOY,” he captioned the video.

The soon-to-be mom also shared the news with her followers with a series of new photos and a sweet message for their unborn son.
“Sweet baby BOY, we cannot wait to meet you! I already love you so much,” she wrote. “The last video is from the day we found out what we were having. My family was in town and I’ve truly never seen Chris/my brothers so excited!”

After announcing Bushnell’s pregnancy in early December, Lane spoke with RADIO.COM’s Kelly Ford about the exciting news and the silver lining that it brought to 2020.
“We’ve been trying for a while. So, we’re very, very excited,” he said at the time. “It almost doesn’t feel real, but here we are…[2020’s] given us a chance to kind of concentrate on this and not be exhausted from the road and all that kind of stuff… Hell yeah, it gave is a chance to really try and Hallelujah, thank the Lord it worked out.”
The North Carolina native went on to say that he was “secretly” hoping for a boy. It looks like his wish came true!
Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell began dating in 2018 and tied the knot on October 25, 2019.
