Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell Reveal What Makes Them Nervous About Parenthood

In just a few short months, Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell will welcome their first child and like many first-time parents, Chris and Lauren are experiencing a bit of anxiety before their baby boy arrives. 

During a recent appearance on Couple Things with Shawn Johnson and Andrew East, the soon-to-be parents revealed what they’re most nervous about when it comes to parenthood. 

“Oh my gosh, so many things I am nervous about. I am hoping that our intuition and nature just kicks in and we know what to do,” Lauren shared. “I grew up babysitting and watching my siblings but obviously have never had my own baby before so I am very nervous about many, many, many things.

“But obviously so excited too,” she added. “I am excited to see what he looks like and what his personality is and just, it’s just wild to think that there is this human growing inside my belly and he is going to be his own little person and have his own personality so we’re just excited to just meet him at this point.”

The “Big, Big Plans” singer admitted his personal fears of getting sick have him feeling a little apprehensive. 

“One of the reasons, I’m just keeping it real right now, I thought I never wanted to have kids is because I am a hypochondriac over sickness and I feel like kids get sick all the time,” Chris confessed. “Now, I don’t care about colds and all that stuff, but one of my worst fears in life is throwing up. Maybe this is just in my head, but I feel like kids always pass along some time of stomach virus that makes you throw up. I have worked this up in my mind and I am deathly afraid of throwing up!”

Chris and Lauren recently escaped the Tennessee winter for a tropical babymoon on the Islands of St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands.  

The couple revealed that they were expecting in early December and later shared their gender reveal with fans on social media. 

“Hello 2021…It’s a BOY,” he captioned the video, which was shared on New Year’s Day. 

Chris Lane and Lauren Bushnell began dating in 2018 and tied the knot on October 25, 2019.
