Corey Kent spent over a decade paying his dues while bringing his music to stages across the U.S. in a van with his bandmates. Then last year, he started to see all the hard work and sleepless nights pay off when he notched a string of breakout achievements such as the release of his major label debut album, Blacktop. Now, he’s reaching yet another milestone with the announcement of his first-ever headlining tour.

The Black Bandana Tour is expected to bring Kent’s signature style and unique Rock ‘N’ Roll/country blended sound to over 25 cities across the U.S. and U.K. He will kick things off in Paso Robles, California on Sept. 21 and continue with stops in Bakersfield, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Dublin, London and more into early 2025.

Kent will be joined by Braxton Keith, Kaitlin Butts, Max McNown, Karley Scott Collins, and Lauren Watkins on select dates.

Reflecting On Early Touring Days

The “Wild As Her” singer took a moment to reflect on his early days of touring, and all the trials and tribulations he endured while building up his dreams on the road and gaining a slew of fans along the way.

“It all started with a bunch of Oklahoma boys piling into a red van called ‘Rooster’ and taking any gig we could get. We believed our live show would speak for itself, and we’d hustle to the merch table after our set to sling t-shirts in hopes of making enough to fill up the van to get to the next show. All those sleepless nights in the van, all the opening slots, all the miles, all the shirt slinging, all the blood, the sweat and the tears PAY OFF TODAY!” Kent reflects. “Today, I’m stoked to announce our first ever headline tour starting here in the USA and then hopping across the pond! Time to make some memories.”

The Inspiration Behind The Tour’s Name

Also a dad of three, the Sony Music Nashville artist is constantly working towards finding that balance between work and his personal life, but no matter what obstacles are thrown his way, Kent has shown tremendous perseverance towards his dream. This proven dedication serves as the inspiration behind the name of his upcoming tour.

“For us, the black bandana has been what we’ve picked up in times when everyone thought we should wave a white flag to surrender,” Corey Kent explains. “I’ve spent a lot of years raising my black bandana high and letting ’em know that I wasn’t giving up that easy. I’m so excited to still be doing what I love and can’t wait to get on the road this fall and see all those black bandanas waving back at me.”

Artist presale begins Tuesday, June 18, at 10 am local time through Thursday (June 20) at 10 pm local time. Spotify presale begins Thursday, June 20 at 10 am local time through Thursday (June 20) at 10 pm local time.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, June 21, at 10 am local time at coreykentofficial.com.
