Dan+ Shay reflected on the 5th anniversary of their sophomore album and teased their forthcoming fourth studio album.

On Friday (June 3), the superstar country duo celebrated the 5th anniversary of 2016 album, Obsessed, with a reflective post on Instagram ““5 years ago today we released the #OBSESSED album. Where does the time go? Thank y’all so much for loving on these songs and for sticking with us through every step of the journey.”

Obsessed is the duo’s sophomore album that spawned hit songs such as “From The Ground Up,” “How Not To” and “Road Trippin.”

The award-winning duo, comprised of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, continued to share that over the past year, they had lots of time to reflect and recharge to prepare for their next chapter.

“This past year has given us a lot of time to reflect on how grateful we are for everything that has happened in our career,” the Tennessee natives said. “It has also given us the time to recharge and prepare for the next chapter.”

The 2021 CMT Performance Of The Year nominees gushed over new music and tour as well as continued to tease the follow-up to their 2018 Self-Titled project that spawned hits such as “Tequila,” “Speechless” and “All To Myself” as well as the Kelly Clarkson duet, “Keeping Score.”

“Not gonna lie, we’re more excited about music and touring than we’ve ever been, and can’t wait to dive in headfirst VERY soon,” Dan + Shay added. “We’re proud of everything we’ve accomplished so far, but deep down in our hearts, we feel like we’re just getting started. Think it’s about time for a new album, yeah?”
