Dasha is on the ride of her life following the success of her breakout single, “Austin,” and she admits she still hasn’t had a chance to comprehend what’s happening in her career.

“I feel like my brain is still so catching up to the reality that is mine now,” she admitted while chatting with Country Now ahead of the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards earlier this month. “I mean, it’s just been the wildest thing ever. In January, the beginning of January, I had a hundred thousand monthly listeners and now, I have over 20 million. And so just the switch and just so little time is, I mean, it’s my dream and it’s all coming true. And it’s so wild that one song can truly change your life.”

With her newfound fame and rising star power, Dasha is leaning on her friends and family to help her stay grounded.

“My family’s been so supportive. My brother’s in music… My boyfriend also makes music, his name’s Arden Jones, and he gets it. I know he’s been through, what I’ve going through now, and so it’s really refreshing to talk to someone who I trust so much to ground me,” she shared.

While the rising star admits “it can be a little overwhelming sometimes,” she knows it’s all worth it and says the past few months have been “the most amazing thing ever.”

Since releasing “Austin,” Dasha has mingled with some of the biggest names in music, including country superstars Kelsea Ballerini and Lainey Wilson. For Dasha, the support from fellow female artists has been incredibly reassuring.

“She’s just such an angel,” Dasha said of Lainey Wilson. “I saw her last night at the Billboard [Country Power Players] dinner and she’s such a one-of-a-kind. She’s such a kind soul and such a girl’s girl. She just wants to see women succeed all around her. And she’s honestly been an older sister to me through this whole process. [She’s] just like ‘Anything you need, let me know.’ She gave me her number at the CMT [Awards]. She’s just like, ‘Hey, hit me up whenever. Let’s hang…’ So I love Lainey.”

After delivering her first awards show performance at the 2024 CMT Music Awards and walking the red carpet at the ACM Awards, Dasha will have the opportunity to check yet another item off of her bucket list when she makes her Grand Ole Opry debut next month. Taking the stage on June 15, the singer/songwriter will perform “Austin” and other tracks from her 2024 album, What Happens Now?.

“I’ve been thinking about the moment that I might get my chance to step into the Opry Circle since I came to Nashville for the first time when I was 13,” Dasha explained in a statement. “To be asked to be a small part of country music culture, where so many artists I look up to have stood, is such an honor.”

In addition to her upcoming Opry debut, Dasha is set to appear at CMA Fest, Lollapalooza, and more.
